Data Controller
PageTech Solutions Limited ("I", "me") is the data controller for information collected through this website. You can reach me via the contact page.
Information I Collect
- Information you provide directly via email correspondence (name, email, company, message).
- Technical data processed via standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and operational purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
I process personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry and operating my website securely). Where you submit an enquiry, processing is also necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
Use of Information
I use information to respond to enquiries, provide services, improve the website, and protect against abuse. I do not sell or share personal data with unauthorised third parties.
Cookies & Analytics
I do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this website at this time. If this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Data Retention & Security
I retain personal information only for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry or to comply with legal obligations. I take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction.
Records Retention
I apply the following retention periods to different categories of records:
- Enquiry correspondence — retained for 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, then securely deleted.
- Engagement and contract records — retained for 6 years after the end of the engagement, in line with HMRC requirements and the Limitation Act 1980.
- Invoices and financial records — retained for 6 years as required by Companies Act 2006 and HMRC.
- GDPR / data rights requests — retained for 3 years from the date of the response, to demonstrate compliance.
- Server logs — retained for no more than 90 days, then automatically purged.
At the end of each retention period, records are securely deleted or anonymised. If you believe I hold data beyond its retention period, you may request erasure via the contact page.
Third Parties
Where I use third-party services (for example, hosting providers or email providers), they may process limited data to deliver those services. I review providers for appropriate data-protection safeguards.
Your Rights
Under UK data-protection law (UK GDPR) you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability (where applicable)
To exercise any of these rights, contact me via the contact page. I will respond within one calendar month.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how I handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Any contractual terms and service agreements are likewise subject to review and may be updated to reflect operational changes.
