Fit
Is This a Good Fit?
Not every technical problem needs the same kind of help.
I help organisations understand, improve and support the operational systems they depend on — direct engagement with me, 100% remote. This page exists so you can work out whether I'm likely to be useful before either of us spends time finding out the hard way.
I'm probably a good fit if...
- You've got an important system that still works, but that's become hard to understand — the business depends on it, and nobody's fully sure any more how all the pieces fit together.
- You need genuine senior C#/.NET experience — .NET, .NET Core, SQL Server, Entity Framework, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, Azure-related development, backend and integration work.
- You need help with operational systems — internal tools, workflow platforms, capacity-management or planning systems, document-processing environments.
- You need help understanding what already exists before deciding what to build next.
- Your workflows depend on multiple interconnected systems and the dependencies aren't clear to anyone.
- You value maintainability — documentation, supportability, systems the next person can actually pick up.
- You want to talk to the person doing the work — not an account manager or a delivery layer.
- You're comfortable with 100% remote delivery.
I'm probably not the right fit if...
- You need a large delivery team — I'm one person, deliberately.
- You want agency-style project delivery rather than direct technical consulting.
- You need a managed service provider.
- You need onsite presence — I only work remotely; if the job needs regular office attendance or a hybrid arrangement, it's not going to work.
- You want a full digital transformation consultancy — my focus is deliberately narrower: understanding, improving and supporting the systems, workflows and integrations you already depend on.
- You want guaranteed outcomes or transformation promises — I prefer evidence to assumptions, and I'd rather tell you what I actually find than promise a number I can't back up.
It usually comes down to the nature of the problem
The strongest engagements are ones where the technology actually matters to how the business runs — where things have got complicated over time, reliability and maintainability matter, and having direct access to someone experienced is worth more than a bigger team.

Let's talk
If any of that sounds familiar, the next step is just a conversation about your system and what's actually going on. Prefer to see evidence first? See real project examples or read what people say about working with me.

Who is PageTech Solutions a good fit for?
Organisations with an important system that still works but has become hard to understand, who need senior C#/.NET, SQL Server, Entity Framework, REST API, Microsoft Graph or Azure experience, or help with operational systems such as internal tools, workflow platforms, planning systems or document-processing environments. You should value maintainability, want to talk directly to the person doing the work, and be comfortable with 100% remote delivery.
When is PageTech Solutions not the right choice?
If you need a large delivery team, agency-style project delivery, a managed service provider or a full digital transformation consultancy, Jamie is deliberately not that. Onsite or hybrid attendance is also out, since all work is remote. Jamie also will not promise guaranteed outcomes or transformation figures; you get evidence of what is actually found rather than a number that cannot be backed up.
Is PageTech Solutions a one-person consultancy?
Yes, deliberately. PageTech Solutions Limited is founder-led by Jamie Page with 15+ years delivering production systems. You work directly with Jamie rather than an account manager or delivery layer, which suits engagements where having direct access to someone experienced is worth more than a bigger team. If the job genuinely needs a large team, this is not the right fit.
How do I find out whether my problem is a good fit?
Book a free 20-minute consultation and talk through your system and what is actually going on. There is no obligation, and Jamie will say plainly if the work is outside the stack or not a good match. If it is a fit, fixed-price work is quoted in writing after a scoping step, or time-based work is charged at £400 to £500 per day ex VAT.
