Turning Complex Problems Into Confident Technology
Transparent pricing
£350–£650/day · Outside IR35 preferred
Transparent day-rate billing. Outside IR35 preferred — IR35 documentation available at contract stage. Fixed-price milestones available for scoped deliverables.
Guide rates (ex VAT):
£350–£650/day — contract delivery, sprints and structured builds
£100–£120/hour — focused specialist time: code and architecture reviews, second opinions, technical investigations
Hourly time costs more per hour than a booked day, by design: short blocks of specialist time are harder to schedule than sustained delivery. Out-of-hours support is separate.
Day rate and billing model confirmed before placement begins. The same accountable contact from first contact through delivery.
Fully remote senior C#/.NET, Azure, backend, integration and production-reliability work through PageTech Solutions Limited. Outside IR35 preferred. Guide rate: £350–£650/day + VAT, depending on how specialist the role is, how soon it starts and how long it runs. Inside IR35 roles are priced separately. Please send the role spec, IR35 status, rate, duration, start date and remote expectations.

How it works
Rate structure
Focused Specialist Time
£100–120/hourex VAT
Focused specialist time for code reviews, architecture reviews, second opinions and technical investigations. Intentionally more per hour than a booked day, because short blocks of specialist time are harder to schedule than sustained delivery. Charged in 15-minute intervals. If hourly work starts to look like sustained delivery, it is re-scoped as day-rate or fixed-price work.
Contract Delivery
£350–650/dayex VAT
Guide range for an 8-hour day. The rate for a role depends on how specialist the work is, how soon it starts and how long it runs: specialist and short-notice work carries a higher day rate, and a longer commitment with scheduling flexibility is priced for sustained delivery. Inside IR35 roles are priced separately. Agreed in writing before work starts.
Long-Term Placements
Agreed per placement
Placements beyond six months are open to discussion. Commitment length is one of the things that shapes the rate, and a longer commitment with scheduling flexibility is priced for sustained delivery. Retainer or ongoing arrangements can be agreed for the right placement — talk to your agency or contact me directly.
Out of Hours Support
£160/hourex VAT
Critical issues outside standard working hours (before 9am, after 5pm, weekends or holidays), priced separately from the standard day and hourly rates. Available on request with a minimum of 2 working days' notice. Minimum engagement 1 hour, then billed in 15-minute intervals.
What shapes the rate
Specialist work: architecture reviews, technical investigations and troubleshooting carry a higher day rate.
Start date: short-notice work costs more to schedule around.
Commitment length: a longer commitment with scheduling flexibility is priced for sustained delivery.
IR35 status: inside IR35 roles are priced separately.
The day range is guidance, not a contractual boundary. Every placement is agreed individually and confirmed in writing. If hourly work starts to look like sustained delivery, it is re-scoped as day-rate or fixed-price work.
How to choose the right engagement model
Choose your current need to see the recommended pricing path.
Focused review
Use hourly specialist time for code reviews, architecture checks and second opinions. It costs more per hour than a booked day by design; if it grows into sustained delivery, it is re-scoped.
Delivery sprint
Use day-rate delivery when outcomes span multiple milestones and checkpointed build cycles.
Long-term continuity
For placements beyond six months, agree a structure around continuity. Commitment length and scheduling flexibility shape the day rate.
Urgent out-of-hours
Critical incidents outside standard hours use the separate out-of-hours support model, with notice requirements.
Engagement model is chosen by delivery shape. The rate for a role is agreed in writing after scoping.
Value
Why these rates
Placement-ready from day one
15+ years of production delivery means no ramp-up wasted on learning the domain. I integrate into your client's tools and processes quickly, hit the ground with minimal onboarding, and maintain the same delivery standards as the IR35 documentation requires.
What the code comes with
Unit tests written alongside the code, with a written note of what they cover and what they do not
Architecture documented so a developer who has never seen it can make the next change
Failure paths handled explicitly, including what happens when a dependency is unavailable
Assumptions and known limitations written down rather than left in someone's head
Microsoft Graph API permission and integration patterns handled safely
Microsoft Information Protection-aware implementation guidance
Handover documentation written for your team, so the work does not depend on my availability
Lower Total Cost of Ownership
Careful work costs more up front and less to live with, because the expensive part of software is rarely writing it. What that buys here is specific: a 30-day defect warranty from sign-off, the source and its documentation handed over, and knowledge transfer included — so the next change does not have to come back to me.
Scope and pricing agreed in writing before development starts
Regular progress updates and checkpoints
Automated tests, and a written record of what they check
Clean, commented, maintainable code
Documentation and handover
Placement completion
Clean handover — source code, documentation, and runbooks where agreed
IR35 compliance documentation supplied at contract stage
Cover levels (PI, PL, Cyber) confirmed before start
Ongoing support available at additional cost
Flexible billing: day-rate or milestone depending on agency preference
My approach
How scope is defined
Rates are agreed in writing after an initial scoping step. After a
discovery call, I provide a written scope that clarifies ownership
and cost from day one:
Scope: What you're getting and what's out of
scope
Deliverables: Specific outputs and acceptance
criteria
Timeline: Realistic dates and milestones
Agreed fee: Day rate, hourly rate or fixed price, with a clear breakdown
Terms: Payment schedule and any conditions
Everything is confirmed in writing before development starts. If
scope changes during the engagement, I discuss impact and revise
the agreed price before additional work is committed.

Payment terms
No deposit: Scoped fixed-price projects require no upfront payment — invoicing begins at agreed delivery milestones.
Fixed-price invoicing: Invoiced against the milestones agreed in the written scope. Typically one invoice on completion for shorter engagements.
Time and materials: Invoiced weekly or fortnightly in arrears, with a written summary of work completed in each period.
Payment window: All invoices are NET 30 (30 calendar days from date of issue). BACS bank transfer preferred; Stripe card payment is also available for faster settlement.
