Frequently asked questions

What does an integration review look at?

It maps how your systems and third-party integrations connect, where coupling is tightest and which integration points would be hardest to change or replace. It also assesses your exposure to third-party API versioning and deprecation, and how error handling and retry behaviour work across integration boundaries, including what happens when a downstream call fails. The output is a picture of what would break first under change.

What is the deliverable from an integration review?

A written picture of what would break first under change, with prioritised recommendations for the fragile points that matter most. A short walkthrough call to discuss the findings is included. Building out any fixes is a separate, further-scoped piece of work, so you can decide what to act on once you have seen the findings and understood the risk.

How is an integration review priced?

It is scoped as a fixed piece of work with a defined deliverable, so you get a fixed-price quote agreed in writing after a short discovery call to understand roughly what is in scope. A free 20-minute consultation is the usual first step. If you later want the integrations themselves built or replaced, that is quoted separately, either fixed price or at £400 to £500 per day ex VAT.

Will the review rebuild our integration layer?

No. The review is an assessment, not a rebuild. For ongoing integration development and delivery, such as building or replacing the integrations themselves, see the Integrations service. The review is useful for understanding the risk before committing to development work. All delivery is 100% remote by Jamie Page, who has 15+ years delivering production systems in C#/.NET and Azure.
